Films that challenge perceptions, shift cultures and celebrate outcomes for care experienced young people.
The Care Leaders were asked to create media that would change people’s perceptions of young people in care and those who work with them. The films were created with the purpose to launch at a conference in Oxford that celebrated young people and the people that care about them.
We understand the transformative impact a relationship can have for young people. We all need someone who cares about us, who can stand by our side celebrating our successes and comforting us in our less fortunate times.
The children’s social care sector is under constant pressure from negative media that causes stigma and leads to low morale and a sense of failure amongst our people.
We believe in the power of transformative relationships and understand the impact these can have.
The People who Care was a project that co-created 3 films with young people who wanted to challenge perceptions, shift cultures and celebrate outcomes for care experienced young people whilst sharing a message about someone who cared about them.
